What does the word “sell” mean to you?
Is it a positive word? Does it make you think of growth, sharing and bettering the lives of others? If not, it should.
I think a lot of people misunderstand what “sell” stands for, and it can lead to apprehensions about joining the network marketing community.
It’s not the simple 4-letter word you’ve come to understand it to be… see what “sell” really stands for in the video below.
E – Educate. We love to talk about the things we’re passionate about, And we love to learn about the products and services that interest us. This is the point where you do what “Google” does for us, you inform the person about the product.
L – Learn. At this point, it’s your job as a salesperson to help your prospect “learn” how the service or product can be of benefit to them. As they learn more about what it is and how to use it, they’ll want to know more about how it relates directly to them. Help them see how it can be used in their everyday life and what impact it’ll have on them in the future.
L – Lead. After sharing information with your prospect, helping educate them and showing how it can positively impact them, the next step is to lead them to make a decision. For many of us, decision-making is really difficult; we never want to make the wrong choice. To help ease any doubts your prospect may be feeling, you can do simple things like giving them a free trial, spending extra time to answer any questions they have at this point, or talking to them about other people who have been in their situation, and how they overcame it.
“Sell” is more than the 4-letter word you may think it is. It’s a process, it’s a way to make relationships with others and help them, and it’s a way to share something that has changed your life, so that you can help them change theirs, too.
All the best,
