To get the results you want in your business, you have to lose your excuses.

Successful people, I’ve noticed, don’t make excuses. They don’t blame people around them, or events that happened, they simply analyze the situation and adapt what they’re doing.

The minute you start making excuses, stop and ask yourself: “What are the results I want, and what are more successful people doing differently than me?”

It’s a simple solution, but it starts by recognizing that when you make excuses, you’re literally putting yourself out of business.

In the Direct Sales world, we say that there are 2 things that everybody has in common, and 1 that makes everybody different:

Everybody sells the same product. If you’re selling Mary Kay, for example, everybody sells the same lipstick, the same foundation, and the same eyeliner.

Everybody has the same compensation. If somebody is making money selling that product, you have the same opportunity. They have the same tools you have.

The one thing that makes you different, is you. And that’s the one factor you want to be working on, no matter what your business is. Look at what you’re doing and see if it’s getting you the results you want, but also look at what’s keeping you from getting the results you want.

Make an affirmation of it: lose the excuses and get the results you’re looking for.
